Eric Scherer (Founder and President): Ever since I was a child, I have been been fascinated with performing. It is a passion that is fueled by the love and talent of my fellow artists. As I got older, I wanted the opportunity to explore new and exciting ways of creating productions. From this, Actors Reaching Out was born. There is magic in the world, and we are here to use it to touch people's lives. That is why I AM ARO.
Favorite Book- I grew up in a library, so I have a lot. I read everything.
Favorite Musical- There are so many great ones... Wicked was my first and will always hold a special place in my heart, but I also love the Wedding Singer and Carrie.
Erin Andersen is so excited to be the Vice President of Actors Reaching Out! Originally from Buffalo, NY she moved down to Florida I. 2006. While in Buffalo, she was involved in numerous productions through out the area. She was also a member of the Mount Mercy Academy show choir, "Pure Magic". While in Florida she has worked as an Entertainment costumer at Walt Disney World. She has been involved in several Encore Cast Choir shows, and now an active member of ARO! Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2012, she has been active in the MS community while trying to educate others about MS. Recently, she has branched out in volunteering her time at Give Kids The World. She lives with her 2 cats, service dog, and husband. She enjoys anything true crime and forensic related. She hopes to continue volunteering with non-profits with her time and talents. I AM ARO.

Eric Scherer is thrilled to be making his dream come true. He has been performing his entire life and has a drive and passion for living life. His passion for reading was accelerated by the 10 years of volunteer and leadership experience gained from the Pinellas Park Public Library. Combining his love for reading, volunteering, and theater, he began to research and combine these efforts into one organization. Among Eric's favorite series are the Railway Series, Junie B. Jones, and Dr. Seuss. He is proud of the success the organization has made thus far, all thanks to the dedicated talents of the entire Board and the wonderful members of Actors Reaching Out. None of this would be possible without you.
Katie Nail
Vice President
Katie Nail is honored to be the Vice President for Actors Reaching Out. While most of her adult life has been spent in Florida, her childhood was spent in 4 different countries. She was a competitive Irish dancer for seven years and competed across Europe. Actors Reaching Out has allowed her to further develop a variety of skills, including writing, directing, performing, choreographing, designing, marketing, and organizing an array of projects. Katie also works with the Costuming team in the Entertainment department at Walt Disney World focused on training and serves on the Executive Board of Directors for Restore The Magic. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her passion for reading and volunteering!
